1. Who we are
Appliance Circle ("Appliance Circle," "we," "us," or "our") rents, delivers, installs, services, swaps and retrieves washers and dryers in the Spokane and Medical Lake, Washington area. "You" means the person or business renting equipment or using our services. That may be a homeowner, a tenant, a landlord, or an apartment owner or property manager ("Property Partner").
2. Our services
- Rental of washers and dryers (including stacked and compact units where available).
- Professional delivery, installation, connection and testing.
- Dryer vent cleaning at each installation.
- Maintenance and repair of our equipment, including repair or replacement of non-working units as described in Section 7.
- Removal and retrieval of our equipment at the end of the rental or at a tenant's move-out (for Property Partners).
Service is available only within our service area (generally Spokane, Medical Lake and within 40 miles of Spokane, WA). We may decline any request for any lawful reason, including lack of availability, site conditions, or service area.
3. Rental agreement
Each rental is covered by a written or electronic rental agreement, order confirmation, or Property Partner agreement (each an "Agreement") that identifies the equipment, the service address, the monthly rate and the start date. These Terms are part of every Agreement. If an Agreement conflicts with these Terms, the Agreement controls for that rental.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you are a tenant, you confirm that you have your landlord's permission to install the equipment where your lease requires it.
4. Pricing
Our standard rate is $55 per month for a washer and dryer set, unless a different price is stated in your Agreement. For Property Partners, pricing is as agreed in the Property Partner agreement. Prices do not include applicable taxes, which will be added where required. One-time fees (for example, special installation work, stacking kits, or trip charges outside our normal service area) will be disclosed and agreed before the work is done. We may change our rates with at least 30 days' written notice; changes do not apply to the remainder of a prepaid period.
5. Payment
- Rent is billed monthly in advance on the date stated in your Agreement, by the payment method you authorize (for example card or ACH). By providing a payment method, you authorize us to charge it for recurring rent and any other amounts you owe under the Agreement.
- Payments not received within 10 days of the due date may incur a late fee of $25, to the extent permitted by Washington law.
- If your account is more than 30 days past due, we may suspend service and, after written notice, retrieve the equipment. You remain responsible for unpaid amounts.
- Property Partners are billed according to their Agreement, typically on one consolidated monthly invoice. Any rent charged to a resident is the Property Partner's responsibility to set and collect under its lease.
6. Delivery, installation & removal
- We schedule delivery and installation within an agreed time window. An adult (18+) or authorized property staff must provide access.
- The service address must have working, code-compliant hookups: hot and cold water supply valves, a drain, a properly rated electrical outlet (and gas supply with shutoff for gas dryers), and a dryer vent path to the exterior. We are not responsible for installing or repairing building plumbing, electrical, gas lines or vent ducts in walls. If hookups are missing or unsafe, we may decline or reschedule installation, and a trip charge may apply.
- We install carefully and take reasonable steps to avoid damage to walls, doors and floors. Please clear the path and installation area before we arrive.
- Only Appliance Circle may install, move, disconnect or remove our equipment. Do not move it yourself or let anyone else move it. If you move to a new address in our service area, contact us and we can relocate it for an agreed fee.
- At the end of the rental, we retrieve the equipment at a scheduled time. You must provide access. If we can't get access after reasonable attempts, rent continues to accrue until the equipment is retrieved, and Section 9 may apply.
7. Service & 48-hour repair or replace
Normal maintenance and repairs of our equipment are included in your rent. If equipment stops working properly because of normal wear or a defect, report it to us by phone at 509-750-2488, through our website, or through any service portal we provide. We will repair or replace the non-working unit within 48 hours of your report, provided we are given access to the unit during that time. The 48-hour commitment does not count time when access is unavailable, or delays caused by severe weather, road closures, utility outages, building-system problems (plumbing, electrical, gas or venting), parts shortages beyond our control, or other events outside our reasonable control. In those cases we will act as quickly as reasonably possible. Repairs needed because of misuse or damage (Section 9) may be billed.
8. Your responsibilities
- Use the equipment only for normal household laundry, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Clean the dryer lint screen after every load. Do not overload the machines, and do not wash or dry items with gasoline, solvents, oils or other flammable materials.
- Keep the area around the machines clear and dry, and do not block ventilation.
- Report leaks, unusual noises, burning smells, error codes or other problems promptly, and stop using the equipment if it appears unsafe.
- Do not modify, repair or service the equipment yourself or through a third party.
- Do not sublet, sell, pledge or remove the equipment from the service address.
- Give us reasonable access for installation, service, inspection and retrieval.
9. Damage, loss & misuse
You are responsible for loss of, theft of, or damage to our equipment beyond normal wear and tear while it is in your possession or at your property. That includes damage from misuse, neglect, accidents, pets, pests, freezing, fire, flood, unauthorized moving or repairs, and foreign objects in the machine (for example coins, keys or underwire). We may charge the reasonable cost of repair or, if the equipment is lost or not repairable, its reasonable replacement value. We will tell you about any such charge in writing and explain it.
We are not responsible for clothing or other items damaged during normal use, except where the damage is caused by our negligence or a defect in our equipment.
10. Property owners & managers
- Property Partners authorize us to install equipment in designated units, usually at unit turnover. They provide access through property staff or resident notice as required by law and the lease.
- Property Partners are responsible for any rent adjustments, lease addenda and resident notices related to in-unit laundry, and for complying with Washington landlord-tenant law.
- Residents may contact Appliance Circle directly for laundry service requests. Property Partners remain responsible for building systems and hookups.
- At a resident's move-out, the equipment normally stays in the unit for the next resident unless the Property Partner asks us to retrieve it under its Agreement. Damage caused by a resident is handled under Section 9 and the Property Partner agreement.
11. Term & cancellation
- Residential rentals are month-to-month unless your Agreement states a minimum term. You may cancel with at least 15 days' notice by phone or in writing. We will schedule retrieval, and rent is due through the end of the notice period or until the equipment is retrieved, whichever is later. Prepaid rent for full months after retrieval will be refunded.
- Property Partner agreements follow the term and cancellation provisions in the Property Partner agreement.
- We may end a rental with written notice if you breach these Terms or the Agreement (including non-payment), if the installation becomes unsafe, or if we stop serving your area. If we end a rental for reasons other than your breach, you won't owe rent after the equipment is retrieved.
12. Ownership of equipment
All equipment remains the property of Appliance Circle at all times. A rental is not a sale, a rent-to-own agreement or a lease-purchase. You get no ownership interest, and you may not allow any lien or claim against the equipment.
13. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Except as expressly stated in these Terms or your Agreement, our services and equipment are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Appliance Circle is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost rent, lost profits, or the cost of substitute laundry services. Our total liability for any claim arising from the services or equipment is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected rental in the three (3) months before the claim arose. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for personal injury caused by our negligence.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under Washington consumer protection law that cannot be waived by contract.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Appliance Circle and its owners, employees and contractors from third-party claims arising from your misuse of the equipment, your breach of these Terms, or (for Property Partners) the condition of building systems and hookups you are responsible for.
15. Website use
You may use appliancecircle.com only for lawful purposes. Information you submit must be accurate. Website content is provided for general information and may change without notice. Your use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
16. Governing law & disputes
These Terms and any Agreement are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, both sides agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other in writing and allowing 30 days to resolve it. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Spokane County, Washington, and both sides consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Either side may bring an eligible claim in small claims court.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. For active rentals, material changes take effect 30 days after we notify you by email, text or mail. Continuing to rent after that date means you accept the changes.
